In May 2017, fifty-one Apple laptops were donated to the Hamilton High School Social Services Department for use by students in need. These laptops needed refurbishing and updated software. Rajani Rastogi, Hamilton High School Social Services worker, approached the Sun Lakes Rotary Club seeking funds to update the laptops. Revive IT, located in Mesa, agreed to refurbish and provide the updates, installing Windows 7 and Office HB 2010 for $2,000! The SLRC Board of Directors approved financing...

Also, The Sun Lakes Rotary Foundation Committee was approached regarding a "storage" facility for the social services personnel located at Hamilton. The TRF Chairman discussed a possible District Grant for Rotary year 2017/18 with the SLRC Board of Directors. It was estimated that this project could be completed for approximately $5,000.

Rastogi contacted Classy Closets for an estimate. One of SLRC TRF committee members had purchased two Classy Closets certificates and wished to donate them to the project. Classy Closets submitted a bid which was approved by the Board of Directors. The TRF Chairman submitted a District Grant Request to Rotary District 5495 for the Rotary Year 2017-18. The Grant approval was received by District 5495 Nancy Van Pelt on September 3, 2017.

The two rooms were dedicated on December 14, 2017. Attending were Sun Lakes Rotary Members Terrie Sanders, Gary Whiting, and John McKoy. Chandler Unified School District Assistant Superintendent Dr. Craig Gilbert, Hamilton High School Asst. Principal Chris Farabee, Rajani Rastogi - Social Services, and Lisa St. Peter.
