Chuck and his wife Kathy have lived in Sun Lakes since 2009.  He retired in 2011 and joined Sun Lake Rotary at the urging of fellow members from church and the golf community.  He and Kathy have two children and 6 grandchildren living in the Midwest...
Chuck graduated from college with a mathematics degree and began his career teaching High School Math.  He then went to work for IBM where he spent 11 years in large system sales in KC and Chicago.  He then spent 28 years in the Financial Services sector that included moves to Louisville, Scottsdale, and Newport Beach.

Chuck is grateful to be a Rotarian because it has offered an opportunity to “give back” to others for all the blessings that he and Kathy have had in their lives together.  Two programs that he currently oversees are:

1.  Dictionary Project-Rotarians provide dictionaries to every third grader in the Chandler Unified School District.  Rotarians can go to the schools and give a 20 minutes presentation where each child gets his/her own copy.

2.  Choices Project—Rotarians present to all 9th graders in the Chandler Unified School District a 90 minutes course offered through the “Choices Education Group”, a 501 (C) (3).  This course uses an interactive approach that encourages students to make good choices regarding their education.

Chuck is proud to be a member of Sun Lakes Rotary because of the great things it does for the community, its focus on service above self, and the fellowship that comes with working with others.
