Peter Meade was raised in Fargo, North Dakota where he also received his higher education from the University of North Dakota. He always had an interest in Rotary because of his father being a long-time member of the Rotary Club of Fargo. He observed his father’s involvement in Rotary programs and projects and decided that Rotary was for him as well.
After college, he started his 20 year career with Target Stores and became a District Manager out of the Tucson, AZ location. During his time at Target, he met and married his wife, Karin, who also worked at Target and come to find out her family was also from the Fargo area. He and Karin moved from Tucson to Sun Lakes in 2003 where he started his own business in Rental Management…Sun Country House Watch.
Peter joined the Sun Lakes Rotary Club in July 2014 and served on both our major fund raising committees…The Pancake Breakfast and the Charity Golf Tournament. He then served as our Club Vice President, President Elect and now the Club President for Rotary year 2017-2018. He is a proud Rotarian because it is his vehicle for service in the community and helping others that need a hand.
